The M113 was the first mass produced aluminum hull combat vehicle – making it light enough to be air transportable, moderately amphibious, and thick enough to protect against small arms fire. The M113 helped define the first generation of mechanized infantry. Dubbed as a “battle taxi” – the M113’s versatility spawned a variety of adaptations that live on worldwide. The M113 is routinely called the most significant infantry vehicle in history. To date, over 80,000 M113s have been produced and used by over 50 countries, making it one of the most widely used armored fighting vehicles of all time. 

» Winemaking notes:
Hand picked, single block 113 Pinot Noir from Jesse Estate Vineyards on the northern edge of the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Punched down twice daily during a 2 week ferment. Unfined and polished filtered with natural and added sulfites for freshness, no additional preservatives, animal products, or residual sugar. Aged 2 years on the lees with French Medium+ toasted oak. Enjoy slightly chilled by itself or with a light meal.

Our most requested wine is back! Though still young, it already echoes the legendary 2018 Battle Taxi - the wine that took our members by storm. Bright notes of red cherry and raspberry lead the charge, layered with subtle spice and earthy undertones. Firm yet elegant tannins coat the palate, while vibrant acidity gives it the kind of balance that only gets better with time. Like its namesake, the finish grips and lingers – leaving you reaching for another sip.

Pinot Noir grapes, water, yeast*, nutrient*, lactic acid bacteria*, sulfites. 
*Yeast, bacteria, and nutrients were used during fermentation and removed by natural settling and filtration.
