In 1946 the US government brought more than 1,600 German scientists and engineers to America in OP Paperclip. This included Wernher von Braun and his V-2 rocket team. These German scientists spearheaded the American space program, and were pitted against the Soviets in a race to the moon. In 1958, Von Braun and his team engineered and launched America’s first satellite – Explorer 1. Lessons were learned through the Mercury and Gemini programs which put the first Americans in to space atop modified ICBMs. Von Braun's slow and steady methods culminated in to the masterpiece known as Saturn V, which put humans on the moon. To date, the Saturn V is the only rocket to transport humans beyond Earth’s orbit and remains the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful rocket ever brought to operational status.

Winemaker Notes: Zerø Hour is a unique white wine that went through quite a journey to make it in to bottle! It started as a late harvest riesling that was harvested October 31st. A low and slow ferment persisted over six months and during that time the young wine kicked out a beautiful bouquet of candied peach. With less than 1% sugar we blended it 50/50 with pinot gris and let the primary ferment finish inside the bottle. The result is a lightly effervescent white wine that compliments the palate with soft, creamy-like bubbles.
