Retreat, hell, We just got here!

"Retreat, hell, We just got here!" ~~Captain Lloyd Williams, upon being begged by the French commanders to retreat.

In June, 1918, Marines earned the title Devil Dogs by the attacking Germans who made the mistake of assuming Marines would retreat. Through heroism and badassery of the highest order, the Marines stood their ground and stopped the German advance as well as taking Belleau Wood.

In Honor of this 241st Birthday of our Marine Corps, we look to the past and the Marines who gave us our storied history and hope that someday we can live up to that which they gave us.
